The girls have been through two rounds of swimming lessons this summer. C is taking a writing course and learning to sew. They are also taking horse-back riding lessons.

A couple of weekends ago, my parents visited so I had to rush and paint C's room since all her stuff was out in the basement where the hide-a-bed lives.

Things are relatively quiet now except for my mad scramble to see how many snowmen I can finish before my MIL's birthday.

Five More Snowman Projects and Those Two Front Teeth

Puff paint snowmen. The neat thing is that the puff paint is home made - I made it with glue and shaving cream. It is the coolest stuff. The girls loved working with it. After we were done making snowmen we marbleized paper with the shaving cream - will share that later.

Picket fence snowmen made from craft sticks. Mine is the blue one in the middle. The girls did two a piece with the ones they made corresponding to the side they are sitting on. C made a cape for one of her snowmen.

Clothes pin snowmen. These [will] have magnets on the back. Again mine is the one in the middle and the girls hold their own.

Peg snowmen. The hats are made from McCormick food coloring bottle lids.

Snowmen made from wooden beads. Mine is the one below. C's is the blue one and K's is red like mine.

This makes fifteen out of a hundred snowmen projects complete.

Crafting with my Girls

Eggshell snowmen (I am truly obsessed). These were fun. I liked seeing the girls express their unique styles with these.

K has been drawing lots of March lions and lambs so I thought we would do these fun hand prints. The fleece is cotton balls and the mane is noodles. I am afraid the tail on C's lion (below) slipped.

Because I didn't show these at Thanksgiving and the lion and lamb hand prints made me think of him - here is a turkey.

I busted into the stash of marbleized papers that the girls and I have made in the past. Today the girls and I made Easter Eggs from our marbleized papers.

I didn't share this camouflaged octopus that C made last fall. The marbleized papers made me think of him so I thought I would share him too.

A Tiny Announcement: I am going to try to create a hundred unique styles of snowmen by the end of the year. These snowmen bring the count to three.

Snowmen, Lambs, and Lions

As you may know, we visited my in-laws for Christmas. Both of my husband's parents are collectors - they have a huge house and it is stuffed to capacity. My MIL likes to decorate, especially for Christmas. She is fond of snowmen and collects them. However, she likes button nose snowmen not carrot nose. Do you know that of the close to a hundred snowmen in her house only a handful have non-carrot noses?

I plan to remedy that for her birthday (in September) this year. Here are our first snowmen - these are made from craft sticks and wooden discs. WARNING: You will be seeing snowmen regularly and often this year.

K's is the one with a wreath. C's has a broom. Mine sports earmuffs.

Guess what!! It is another puzzle craft. The girls made these reversible lion and lamb hangings for March.
