I am trying hard to avoid buying craft materials this year. I want to use what I have. I will, obviously, buy things that enable me to finish my work like adhesive and thread but I want my 'canvases' so to speak be what I have in my ginormous stash. My eye-glass holder were made entirely from materials at hand.
Here are some more projects.
I needed/wanted a container to hold some math manipulatives. I decided to decorate a coffee can. I had extra consumables (I poured too much adhesive into an applesauce cup) so I worked up a pineapple juice can as well.
The pineapple juice can was a better size plus I like what I did with it better than the coffee can. I am not sure what I will do with the coffee can.
Gift tags, which are actually made from sturdy cardboard tags that came off purchases. When I find a sturdy bit of cardboard - I keep it (whoa is me - I have so much junk!!)
Believe it or not, this blog has been around for five years and 1001 posts. If you are interested in my tiny give-away go to my previous post and enter.
Looks like you've made a good start in using what you have on hand! Congrats on 1001 posts, that is impressive. :)
ReplyDeleteI burn my cardboard so you are doing something far more beautiful with yours.
ReplyDeleteI love your goal. I have a similar one and I hope I can stick to it. Your pineapple can is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great goal. I should do that too - especially with all the fabric I have around here.
ReplyDeleteI also just noticed your cool goodreads widget in your sidebar. Did you already read those?
