for the birds quote book

I made this altered book for a dear friend. I am not sure when it will get sent because I am having fun making things for her. This little book has a quote (or two) about birds on each page. The bird images are collected from an old dictionary, a natural history book, and a Dover clip art book.

I really like how this book turned out. I prepared all the pages, cut all the birds, collected and printed all the quotes, before I ever started collaging. It is a different MO for me but I really like how easy it was to do. :)

The pages are aged with ink and coffee.

I had fun working with the windows too.

I took about a gazillion pictures because it is hard to get the tactile layered nature of an altered book without lots of pictures and I am very proud of this book. I hope you don't mind!!
