I've gotten rid of over three-hundred books. I've gotten rid of an old crib mattress, a decrepit bureau, a vintage couch, two side tables from the late sixties-early seventies and endless bits and bobs.
I've made three trips to the charity thrift store getting rid of carloads of stuff. I went to the hazardous waste recycling facility with the back of my Toyota Highlander completely weighted down with cans of paint (many of which were here when we bought the house).
I am no where close to done. I am sorry to be so absent this week.
I'm sure all the decluttering is feeling fantastic. Good luck with the rest!
ReplyDeleteAbsent, maybe but definitely productive! Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have been awfully busy !
ReplyDeleteOh, me too! Our entire hall was filled with boxes of books (though I found people on Fee cycle to take the lot of them!
ReplyDeleteI'd be losing my mind. Just looking at the pictures is making me dizzy. I am so encouraged that you are getting things cleaned out. That's my plan for next weekend....starting with the sewing room. EEK! Good job! Lisa~
ReplyDeleteCongrats Melissa on the de-cluttering!! I've been working on doing that too. We used to be a military family and things got purged with each new move/assignment. Since we got out, and sunk down roots....yikes!
ReplyDeleteI bet you feel lighter with all that stuff gone!! Good job!! We will see you when you get back...BTW 300 books????Wow!!
ReplyDeleteYou have been very busy, I can relate to this as I have gone through this exercise, three fold and will have to again soon. It is exhausting but there is an end! thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteSeeing you clean out your books makes we want to take a look over at mine and clear out our bookselves! I love decluttering it's so uplifting : )
