I found the recipe for these at Sew Can Do. I had seen kits and always thought they looked cool but could never justify the cost. After finding out how to make my own, I made them for my girls that very weekend.
The girls loved them, so I suggested we make some to send to their cousins. The girls had a blast making them too.
I am going to buy the smallest willow wreath at Dollar Tree and use it to make a nest. Then we are going to make Dinosaur Eggs and give these to a friend who has three small boys next. I figure it will be a blast to paint dinosaur eggs to put in the nest!!

ReplyDeleteLove it! Great minds think alike - I like the pounding with the hammer. We'll try it that way next time :)
ReplyDeleteI love cooking activites that involve the children--You are teaching SO many lessons without their even knowing it.! Thanks for dropping by. One great way to find a good uphosterer is to check bulletin boards in fabric stores. Of course, word of mouth and a recommendation from a friend is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat was adorable, and the girls look super cute with their tools in hand. I never heard of what you told be about for the wood trick...I will have to keep that in mind...very clever you are.
ReplyDeleteOh that is SO COOL! I love that idea! Such fun for the kids.

ReplyDeleteHow fun! Am going to have to try that with my littles.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten all about these...my daughter did these in her kindergarten class. The kids really had fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with my party!
What a neat idea!
