So this is our morning lately.
The girls wake up way too early. This morning they were awake at 5:30. Often we go on our bike ride early. Today we waited. After hubby left, we went out for our ride. We bike into Bunker Park which has a playground in the middle. Because it is a county park we don't have to worry about it being overcrowded in the morning. It does get busy around noon and on weekends but because people have to have a pass, pay to drive in, or go in under their own power, it is quieter.
This is the playground.
The girls play and I read. Then it is back on the bike for the ride home. I am grateful that we have this so very near us.
Can't think,
Brain dumb.
Inspiration, won't come.
Poor ink,
Bum pen.
Best wishes,
Amen.

ReplyDelete"Can we? Yep. Do we? Seldom. Does it make a difference when we do? Always."
I also _try_ too. But I fall down on it, so much of the time. I've pretty well learned to let go of things in the past. It's the upsets in the present, which do such a job on me. :-(
But also, I always say that I don't want to get to where "I'm done." I think our time on earth would be done then too. And I'm not ready for that. :-)

5:30 A.M.? words just about fail me...
ReplyDeleteI adore your poem!
ReplyDeleteI love that they have umbrellas for shade. That was very thoughtful. I like to go to parks when they aren't busy.
ReplyDeleteAll of our parks are a drive away but then we have a nice big backyard and plenty of roads to walk by. :) Shade is good--my favorite park has lots and a stream but the kids prefer the bigger, hotter one by the pool with no shade. (My kids used to wake at 5:30 am daily--praise the Lord they got older and now prefer sleeping till 8 or 9--which gives me some work time in the morning. :)
ReplyDeleteIs this the same park that has the wave pool? That's my only frame of reference up that way - we used to go to the wave pool a couple times every summer. I'm not sure if my then pre-teen boys enjoyed it the most - or if my friends and I did (thinking we might have to go with the "adults" on this one!)
