still going strong

Things are going well. My MIL and I are thrifting and crafting away.

C in her 'nerd' glasses...

unhappy K

My MIL found this on one of our excursions (it is most definitely her style and not mine) the stand was unpainted so I had her paint and distress it and then we added the buttons. The dress was dirty so I tea stained it.

I made a button bouquet for the MIL's bathroom.

the multitude of buried dreams represented in this photo -

I thought this was enchanting...

I found this old photo - on the back it says Sybil Baley Portland Rose Festival Queen 1915.

two of the three mirrors we found...

a valet chair that we found - from the 'Bombay Store' - I think it will end up in the guest bedroom...

  3. I like the little heart/dress stand with the buttons. I guess your MIL and I have the same style. :)

Your finds are just awesome. C looks so cute in her nerd glasses. hehe I can't see K for some reason. I hope my computer is not melting down. It's getting pretty slow.

    Glad things are going well!

  5. Its funny, the first time I read this I thought the buried dreams was referring to the button on the bouqet--and the dreams blooming through them : )

Its so amazing how art can bring such joy and healing...

    Blessed Week : ) Wendy
