I've been 'on' the internet for years. I started in poetry forums, then photo forums, and then craft forums. Poetry and photo forums in particular are 'critical' forums and that is necessary and good - for the idea is to hone your craft - however, there is in all areas of life, a herd mentality and to live in those realms means to blend in or stand alone...hence (in part) my adherence to black and white - a point long fought - and perhaps in some respects won. What I like about my friends here - is you appreciate. And that sometimes is a balm...It also means if I want to share glorious colors I can.

but having the two right next to one another, it becomes so obvious how each is truly its own art...related, obviously, through the initial subject, but through your choice of color/b & w becoming something entirely separate from the other...my first "impression" for lack of a better word of what each photo triggered in me emotionally was completely different with each...
I'm fumbling a bit, aren't I? :)
