stuff - a handful of craftiness

I am always way too busy in the summer to craft. Things like a garden, camps, VBS, outdoor activities, and sometimes even a vacation make it hard. Here are a few things I managed to finish this summer.

I made this fairy wreath for a friend's grand-daughter.

These jars full of beads are full of little things for her grandsons to find (can't recall what these jars are called at the moment).

My friend and her husband work as Wycliffe Translators and so I made some stamped envelopes with their return address on them and a coordinating little cards for them to use for the volumes of correspondence and thank you notes their work requires.

The quote on the card "The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings! Henry Ward Beecher

Because I used a calendar, I adhered a bit of plain white card stock on the inside for her to use for her notes.

I shipped everything in this box I made. The box was a fun project. First I sponge painted the entire box in a rainbow of colors.

I used removable vinyl to make reverse stencils of crazy flowers and butterflies. I then spray painted all over the box with blue and green spray paint.

Then I used a sharpie to outline the flowers and add details.

The inside of the box - lined with fleece and accented with denim from old jeans.
