happy mail

Last Friday, I dropped some Easter Eggs in the mail. I had weighed them at home and put the proper amount of postage on them. I was going to drop them in the blue box. Unfortunately, a rather sour postal worker was collecting the mail and made dour predictions about me having them returned for insufficient postage. She did, however, ungraciously accepted them.

On Monday, my sister B's three little girls, my Mom, Tim's Mom, and his Mom's cat Charlotte all got Easter Eggs in the mail.

I put a little cat toy in Charlotte's, and erasers in the eggs for my nieces. The Grandmothers received nifty little light bulb key chains. The girls used an Ed Emberly's book to make thumbprint art for the packages and they included little messages. The light bulb key chains said "You bring light into my life."

I got the idea for the eggs from the Giver's Log via Pinterest.

I recently sent a birthday card to Tim's Dad. The card was an inexpensive joke card but I decided to make a fun envelope.

  1. what a cute idea to send jumbo Easter eggs filled with goodies. I have little nieces who would be ecstatic to find something in the mail like this. I never thought of that but I like it.

  7. Easter eggs in the mail!!! Oh this made me smile, just lovely photos. I love that idea, but I don't think it would fly with Canada Post, they have become so picky about what fits.
