I bought this kit through Herrschners. I bought it with the intention of working it up for my FIL. I enjoy embroidery but I do not enjoy counted cross stitch. I've embroidered cute little cross-stitch kittens, which are similar to regular embroidery where I am allowed to pick my own colors. For some reason it escaped my reason that I would have to follow a chart to embroider this. Sigh!
I intend to post regular updates of my progress in order to encourage myself to continue.
Oh my! Love this pattern. My husband would love this deer pattern. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI find counted cross-stitch very tedious, but it does allow for very sharp details. I started a southwestern angel years ago, and she sits unfinished. One of these days!
ReplyDeleteI hate when I miss important details like a color code! Hang in there, you're going to make it beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt will be well worth finishing but I am with you on cross stitch. I enjoy doing all the different stitches but have not done it in so long my point is moot. I did sew twelve buttons on a comfortor last week-nearly killed me but I did it.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a beaut Melissa, just you wait.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I so love this. Please keep us updated. I love cross-stitch so much.
ReplyDeleteGreat start! I'll cheer you on.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a HUGE undertaking. You are doing a great job. Keep up the good work...see if I was doing this I would start and never finish. That is why I will be your cheerleader!! Go Melissa, you can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job! Gogreous pattern! Looks like the deer is peeking through a whole! LOL
ReplyDeleteAnxious to see more ;)
*hugs*deb
