autumn moves along

Yesterday we went for a walk. We saw plenty of dried wild cucumber seed pods - they fascinate me.

K gave herself a nasty cut on her finger while collecting grasses, leaves, and pods for an autumn bouquet.

We put her bouquet on the coffee table in the living room next to some of our friends from the pumpkin patch who are still sound in the head.

Some of our other friends aren't doing so well.

  1. Hoping that cut isn't too bad.

  2. I think your other friends who aren't doing so well look truly scary.

  3. Lol the pumpkin faces look cute n' grumpy I bet that's because they've shrivelled a little bit.

  4. I should have added how much I like the picture of the wild cucumber pod. Fascinating, I haven't seen one in the flesh (so to speak).

  6. We had an abundance of wild cucumber this year. I was hoping we could try pickling them but found out they would make you sick so we didn't of course. My daughter made some really cute men out of them however! Here is a link to a post where I have a picture of one: http://proverbs31living.blogspot.com/2011/09/making-presents-interesting-with-stuff.html
