from husband's discarded shirts to cool batik pillows

This is a seriously fun craft. The girls have been batiking too but their projects aren't ready to share yet.







These are done using a blue glue batik method. The brilliant Gail at that artist woman has a tutorial for how to use this technique. I actually created the tree batik first and used a clear washable glue - there definite problems with the clear glue but it still turned out quite striking.

The first time I created the denim snowflake I used all blue paints and you couldn't really see the snowflake. I just reglued the snowflake and painted over the previous one.
