where I've been

Last week near the end of my in-laws visit, we went shopping for all sorts of different things. I also cleaned the laundry room which was the last thing on my list of things I wanted to do in the house before school started.

I honestly didn't expect to find time to do it but when the washing machine broke down and I was expecting a service call, I did!! (We had to replace the pump in the machine for those who might be curious).

This week, we started school.

Our day doesn't look like this the entire day. There are parts upstairs on the couch, there are parts downstairs on the couch, there are parts on the floor, and there are parts outside!! It is going surprisingly well.

The girls like the teacher and the subjects but miss their friends. We are working on that but it isn't the same. :(

  1. Is this the beginning of homeschooling for you? Or had you already started?

Hope you have a fun school year!

  2. they look comfortable in their new space... but it's still school isn't it? I know that whenever I say to the boy that we have to practice his reading, he hates doing it. YET if he comes up with the idea of reading on his own (which happens regularly) he's happy as a clam... I don't get it...

  4. oh yes, I don't like waiting around for repair men but it's a good thing you put that time to good use.

  5. Congratulations on reaching the laundry room, isn't it a wonderful feeling to accomplish what is on a list. I so look forward to reading about your homeschooling adventures and your daughters' discoveries.
