what do baseballs, coffee bean bags, and eggs have in common?

They all make great snowmen!!

This is a fabric mache snowman made from a recycled coffee bean bag. I love his rustic looks and his companion snowy owl. (I just noticed that from this angle the folds of fabric by his face look like dog ears but really, he doesn't look a bit like a dog - I will have to rephotograph him for the tutorial)

Since today is the first day of baseball season (I wouldn't have known that if my Uncle hadn't shared that in the daily family email, thanks UP). It seems an appropriate day reveal my father-son baseball (softball) snowman duo.

Easter is around the corner and eggs are on the brain. Eggs are ellipses and are also white which definitely makes them fair game when it comes to snowmen, don't you think?

These snowmen make 8-10, which means I am a tenth of the way to the one-hundred distinct snowmen I want to create. For those who may want details on making these I do plan to write up tutorials and post them on Suite101. In November, I will do a round-up of all the snowmen and links to the tutorials.

I will be sharing this at:
