Yes, I am sure you are sick of my faux mercury glass obsession but it is almost over, I promise.

If you are interested in the technique I used, you can read here

When I originally created this jar it looked like this (you can read about it here if you want).

  2. You have got to STOP! ;) I stood at Hobby Lobby last week staring at all of he half price glass and thinking, what can I use to make mercury glass like my friend Melissa? But I would have needed everything...glass, paint, etc. So I didn't get it and I was just about to start forgetting when you post it again! Love it really. You can be sure that all of my whining is actually a compliment. LOL! Lisa~

  9. Ooo, that is my favorite yet. Of course, the red probably shows up better than the others have. And now I want to go make a whole slew of red ones to match my living room.

  10. I like the red! I think there is a lot to explore with this technique, maybe with something else than water (I'm thinking water with sugar and a drop of rubbing alcohol) to get different patterns.

  11. That's a cool one! I love how the metallic rim of the base echoes the mercury-glass metallic element.

  16. First green, now red. You're well on your way to crafting enough mercury glass for Christmas decorations, Melissa. Obsessions are hard to curb, aren't they? ;)

Thanks for linking to my party. I look forward to seeing what you link up each week.
