A Redbox Night

I recently became a BzzAgent. My first opportunity to test a product was a free Redbox Rental.

In the past, I was completely addicted to Redbox. My grocery store has a Redbox in it and I started renting movies several times a week. It was cheap, convenient, and fun. It appeals to that desire for instant gratification that so many of us Americans have.

My husband thought that if I was going to rent movies so often that we should join Netflix. We now subscribe to Netflix but I still occasionally rent a Redbox video. Why? Because I like an occasional dose of instant gratification and because it really is convenient.

For instance, while on vacation this summer we decided we wanted to have a movie night with my sister. We went to the local Walmart and picked up a movie. Cheap, fun, convenient entertainment.

So yesterday when I went to the grocery store, I brought my code with me. I picked a movie that was way down on our Netflix queue and one that suited my mood. (You know sometimes, what rises to the top of the queue just isn't what you are in the mood for and you don't adjust the queue in time and you get a movie you don't feel like watching at the time).

It was nice to veg with hubs after my rather hectic day. Our new refrigerator came (I don't think I told you our old one was dying rather quickly) and it made for lots of busyness yesterday. A movie from Redbox was just what I needed to unwind.

Oh, what did we watch? Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't terrible and it was relaxing but it definitely wasn't a great or even particularly good movie. :)

Disclosure of Material Connection:
I received the coupon code for a free Redbox from BzzAgent, at no cost to me, for review purposes. The opinions shared belong to me and my husband, you may not have the same experiences we do. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255 : “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

  1. We subscribe to Netflix, but use Redbox on occasion too, pretty much for the same reasons you do!

  2. Thanks for stopping by "my place" yesterday. Yes, the coffee pot aquarium is a LITTLE unusual:) It's always nice to "veg" out, with a movie or book, isn't it?? Glad you got the chance!
    Happy Tuesday
