photos from five years ago

The choir at church has asked me to make a montage for an Easter song, not necessarily from my own work. However, I have an idea percolating and so I was going through all my old disks that I had made notations of storing cemetery shots on (I love cemeteries and used to photograph in them frequently). I have 571 back up disks.

I pulled a few extra photos off the disks I looked at - shots that caught my eye.

I started this blog September of 06. For those who have followed me for years and know my girls, here are some old photos that probably haven't been on this blog because they pre-date the blog.

I remember, I used to go for photo drives just to get out of the house. I would put the girls in the car and just drive around with my camera shooting what caught my fancy. Now I am too busy. :(

I think I was a better photographer before I started doing it for pay.

  3. Brian goes out for photo drives all the time. If his work hours are cutting too much into his photography I can always tell by his mood. So I send him off in search of the perfect shot (which for him means finding a building with great bones -- preferably abandoned). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! ;o)

Your pictures are beautiful - as always!

That photographer is still in there somewhere. You just need to relax and let her come out. Pray for natural talent to not be buried.
