for fun

In 1930, William E. Benton patented the 'Duality Mirror' which showed how faces looked with two perfectly symmetrical left or right halves.

His prime example was a duality of Poe - Poe's symmetrical portraits revealed a handsome man and an egg-headed man who looked disordered.

Benton claimed that it revealed that there was 'a little of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in each of us.'

  1. Oh, that is fun! Love the result!

  2. Oh my. Turns out it's good to have two opposite sides playing off one another. Scary otherwise! :)

  3. Hmmm. That's neat. Can I do that with Photoshop?

  4. so we all have two sides...
we can be the good cop and the bad cop all at the same time...just turn around...good idea...
