The Spirit of New Names -Based on Revelation 2:17; John 10:28; Mark 1:17; Genesis 32-33; 1 Kings 10:1-13; 2 Kings 5; Matthew 26:7-13; 1 Corinthians 12
PJ isn't reading her poems. Members of the church who don't generally find themselves in front of the congregation are being asked to read them. Each team will read of the text, poem, and the prayers. During the poem, a person will light the advent candles. We made a really cool wreath with five very big heavy stones with thick pillar candles balanced on them and small stones scattered around. The table cloth is burlap.

Beautiful photos and verses. What a beautiful creative way to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful these are! So creative, sounds amazing. I love that members of the congregation who wouldn't normally be seen or heard upfront will be reading. Though, the running water might send me running to the loo.
ReplyDeleteThis all sounds beautiful and very meaningful. So much of the Old Testament points us to Christ; it's wonderful to really dig into those scriptures at this time of year.
