Since Light's grandparents live far away - some dear friends of mine who adore the girls and who the girls adore fill in (now that Grandpa Glen our adopted friend at the nursing home is too ill to do it anymore). However, D was out of town at a quilting retreat so it was up to J to do the honors.
He was very touched by Light's considerate behavior. He is hard of hearing so whenever she wanted to talk to him she would place her hand on his cheek and turn his face toward her.
Oh, those are some of my favorite photos you have done. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos. I love that you have so many adopted grandparents for your children. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteI need you to come here and teach me how to be the kind and wonderful person that you are.
ReplyDeleteI fall soooo short of that.
Really.
Just in case your family doesn't appreciate you, yet, I will thank you for them.
Beautiful and touching.
ReplyDeleteand that sweet little voice and hug means so very much to the grandparent (even if he is an adopted grandparent!!)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful. Really.
ReplyDeletesuch beautiful photos. I know you will always treasure them. I grew up with all of my grandparents and even a great grandmother...she passed when I was 21 years old. My first grandparent to pass was my grandpa (dad's dad) five years ago...it broke my heart...especially bc he lived in Argentina and he hadn't met my husband yet...he passed right before D proposed. :(
ReplyDeleteI love seeing my parents as grandparents now...it's so amazing.
I love these pictures!!
