I've been freezing spaghetti sauce, M steak sauce, and plain tomato sauce. I've also been dehydrating tomatoes. If you haven't dehydrated tomatoes before, you really ought to try. I can't get enough of them. If you don't know how to dehydrate tomatoes, I wrote an
article for (you guessed it) Suite101.
Tomatoes prepared and ready to dehydrate.

The final product - yummy!
Sounds interesting. What can you use these in. I am assuming that you can rehydrate them in some water. Good Idea.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE dehydrated tomatoes--though no one in the family can eat tomatoes. :) Very fun project.
ReplyDeleteI love tomatoes. We eat them raw with salt. I failed once trying to dehydrate them. Maybe I'll check your link.
ReplyDeleteI just clipped the tomato bushes back hoping to revive them for a fall crop...if this comes about, I'm def. going to visit your article...
ReplyDeleteM you didn't mention if these tomatoes come from your own plants, or if they come from a market.
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea dehydrating tomatoes..think I'll try your method
