My poor tomato plants died. I couldn't keep them watered and we had a bit of a drought this summer. Sigh.
I am still working on getting our soil decent--it says a lot when the spot you have a garden in produces 8 inch high corn plants while the spot you throw all the leaves each year and managed to drop a stray corn kernel has a full size corn stalk. After 5 years of work our soil is still BAD.
