an alluring necklace

I got the idea from a book a borrowed from the library. It uses fishing tackle specifically: barrel swivels with interlock snaps and leader wire. I really, really like it - there is something delicate about it without being frilly that appeals to me.

I wrote a tutorial that you can find on Suite101.

I am sharing this at:

  1. I remember making these in high school, minus the beads. I like this new take... and it's something my daughter would love.

  2. This is really neat. It is almost lacy looking. Saw you on Kathy's blog and came to visit.

  3. You are always so creative. Never seen this before. great sweet necklace!
Thank you for your visits. You are so sweet.
    Have a great day.
    Gros bisous

  4. What a fabulous idea! I remember making something similar when I was a child...these are adorable though! I love the added touch of the beads! Would love to have you stop by the Sunday Showcase Party if you get a chance ~ Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Thansk for sharing the tutorial!
