another gift box but not a Christmas box

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

I needed a container to put the button flowers I made in so that I could safely ship them to my friend. I couldn't stand just sending a good container without embellishing it!

I really, really like how this one turned out.

This box is made from a bread crumb container, sheet music, ribbon, and a button. The illustrations are from a bird book for children.

gift boxes and tags

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!!

I had to ship some packages yesterday and I needed gift boxes. These are the gift boxes and tags that I made.

I really like how this box turned out. I think I found a new favorite style for a few boxes. :)

Pringles can decorated with sheet music and ribbon.

Shoe box - the image is a Norman Rockwell from a coffee table book. A friend gave me the innards after he used the cover.

Fleece gift bag. The tags are lids from frozen juice and old Christmas cards. The direction is written on the back with permanent marker but will wipe off with isopropyl alcohol so they can be reused.

Oh yes, your eyes do not deceive you, these are Christmas gifts. My in-laws live in California and since I shop through the year, I find that shipping through the year is easier on the pocket book.

paper butterflies

My contribution to the world of paper butterflies and pseudo-taxidermy boards. :)

I am sorry I didn't write yesterday. I was unaccountably tired. Perhaps it was the staying up until 12:30 to finish reading An Echo in the Darkness by Francine Rivers.

Honestly, I am not sure that was the entire reason.

I had an eye appointment yesterday and came back with one eye completely dilated and the other not. I looked kinda freaky. :) I took a nap after that one that was supposed to last half an hour but which lasted an hour instead. I was more focused after that. Unfortunately, that was late in the afternoon. :)

origami heart pockets

I made these folded hearts for my WOW group. There is a pocket in the back so when the Bible Study we are doing suggested we write down three verses and tape them somewhere where we would see them frequently, I went to Bible Gateway, cut and pasted the verses into a Word doc., folded them, and gave them to my women in these hearts: Directions for Life. :)

I wrote a tutorial for these that you can find at Suite101.
