notions and stuff

I made two of these tin cans for a dear friend and the other two for myself. They all have artwork from an old embroidery catalog.

The second part of my friends' gift are spools of poetry. My friend is a poet and recently published her second book of poems. I printed some of her poems on fabric and wrapped them around old wooden spools.

  4. I love the spools of thread. I always pick up old wood spools at yard sales.

  5. The embroidery catalogue art work is just darling. Your winter blog header is simply beautiful, what a magnificent winter scene. Spools of poetry, I love saying that phrase.
