Except the light.
On a recent Saturday, K wanted to jump in a pile of leaves. So she scraped together this little pile and jumped in it. :)
The dogs are still adjusting. They relapsed significantly when we were in California. The male, Kei, is doing great and we adore him. He is the sweetest dog you can imagine. The female, Yuuko, is struggling. She is one-hundred percent positive she should be alpha and it just doesn't work that way here. :)
My son did the same thing the other day. Made a pile of leaves with our little neighbour and they spent a good hour jumping in it. It happens every year this jumping in the leaves and I hope it never stops...
ReplyDeleteLove to see the kids playing in the leaves! So fun! Hugs and blessings,Cindy
ReplyDeleteLove the photos today, Melissa! Good luck working with your 'bad' little pup. I'm sure she will get it in time, Shibas are so smart..but sooo stubborn!
ReplyDeleteHooray for fall! Puppy training is difficult, as my children are learning too.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun playing in the leaves. That's one thing mine missed out on, they're Father felt it was too much work to rake them up again and would let any of us do it. Did I mention after 3 yrs I finally have a trial date for the divorce! Not until Feb but after 37 yrs a few more months won't kill us...unless he violates his restraining order....Yep this PTSD sure keeps you on your toes. Love to your lovely family

Every time I see kids and leaves, I am reminded of Linus' comments in "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".
ReplyDeleteNever jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker.
Oh to be a kid again.
There's nothing like jumping around in crunchy leaves!
ReplyDeleteI loved jumping in the leaves when I was a kid, too! Poor Kei...doesn't he know, that women rule?!
ReplyDeleteThe pups and the girls looks SOOO happy. Lovely photos, you have captured autumn's light so well. The second last photo is absolutely darling.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures!
ReplyDeleteOur leaves are just beginning to turn and let go. I'm secretly thrilled my children are now old enough to take over the task of raking them. Love the photos! Hope Ms. Puppy figures out who's boss very soon. ;) Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteWell I just love fall (or autumn as we call it) although it has taken a real cold-turn here and feels almost wintry. Love the photos of K in the pile of leaves, so lively.
