paper mache

I meant to get a photo of Light standing next to this before hubby hung it for me but I forgot too. It is 3'8" tall. The base is Styrofoam and it is overlaid with layers of paper mache. It took me well over two years to complete - partially because I tried moving it before it was dry once and it broke in two so I had to reinforce the fracture with a couple of paint stirring sticks (when it broke, I lost heart and didn't work on it for at least nine months), otherwise it would have been all Styrofoam and paper mache. When you consider what it is made of, it is surprisingly heavy. We hung it on curtain tie-backs.

  2. That is WONDERFUL!
Such a clever way to hang it too.
I'm thinking of your hands today, as my wrists are aching, hope yours aren't.
Please feel no obligation to pay-it-forward, it's so silly anyway. I have gotten many emails people saying, "I would but..."
Luckily I have something already made to send! Happy you will be recipient. Good thing I haven't sent out your seeds yet, now I'll send all together.
Thinking of your daily drives, as I drove for the first in an age this week.

  3. It really looks great, like it is some kind of metal or something.

Thanks for your reply about the Beth Moore. I like indepth studies, but now is not the time, nor is it the right group for that.
